Licence terms

Plain terms for deploying Data Saver inside an organisation. Short on purpose — there is not much to agree about when no data changes hands.

1. What is licensed

A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and run Data Saver on devices your organisation owns or manages, for the term agreed, and to deploy configuration for it by policy. The extension itself, its blocking rules and its documentation remain the developer's property.

2. What it costs

A flat annual fee for the organisation, up to an agreed device count. Not per-seat metering — the extension reports nothing, so there is no mechanism to count seats and none will be added. Quoted per organisation; a pilot is free and carries no obligation.

3. What is not warranted

• No specific saving is warranted. The extension cannot measure data consumption and does not claim to. Any figure discussed comes from your own monitoring during a pilot, and past results on one fleet do not predict another.
• Sites may break. Blocking images and video changes how pages behave. The per-site controls exist for this; a site that cannot be made to work is a limitation, not a defect to be remedied.
• The blocking rules are best-effort. They are rebuilt from upstream sources and will never be complete or perfectly current.

4. Support

Deployment support during the pilot and the licence term, by the contact route agreed at the start. Best-effort response, not a contractual SLA — this is a small operation and promising an SLA it cannot keep would be worse than not offering one. If you need a guaranteed response time, say so early and it can be discussed as a separate arrangement.

5. Updates

Licensed deployments receive the same updates as the public release, through the Chrome Web Store. You can pin a version through browser policy if your change control requires it; doing so means you stop receiving blocklist refreshes until you move.

6. Data

None is collected, so there is nothing to process, transfer or delete on termination, and no data processing agreement is required. The extension has no server and makes no network requests of its own. This is described fully in the privacy policy and can be verified against the source.

7. Term and termination

Annual, renewing only by agreement. Either side may end it at a renewal date. On termination, remove the extension from your policy; no keys expire, nothing stops working mid-term, and no device needs to be visited.

8. Liability

Limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding a claim. The software is provided as-is beyond the terms above.

9. Reference use

Your organisation will not be named publicly as a user without written permission, and permission is not a condition of the licence or of any discount.
